To get started, simply refer to the enclosed instructions in your kit on how to collect and return your sample for your very own TrueYou DNA Profiling test. REGISTERING YOUR KIT
- How to create a TrueYou account?
Once you receive your DNA Profiling kit, please download the TrueYou mobile app from Google Play or Apple AppStore and create an account using your email address to register your kit.
- How do I register my TrueYou DNA Profiling test kit?
After creating your TrueYou account at www.trueyoudna.com, you may log in at any time to register your kit. You can also monitor the status of your test and view your report when it is ready.
Registering your kit links your saliva sample to the barcode. This will enable us to trace ownership. You can find the barcode both on the return sample tube and on your collection kit.
After activating your kit and registering the barcode, we can process your DNA sample and identify your DNA sample to generate your personalised TrueYou results for you.
- Can multiple kits be activated under the same TrueYou account?
No, as each kit has its own dedicated barcode that needs to be registered under each individual’s name and email address when setting up a TrueYou account.
- What should I do if I am unable to register my TrueYou DNA Profiling test kit after several attempts?
If that happens when you are in the process of registering your kit, please contact us at cs@trueyoudna.com and provide details about the error and include a screenshot of the error page.

SALIVA SAMPLE COLLECTION
- How do I collect my DNA sample?
TrueYou DNA Profiling test kits are easy and convenient to use. You can find the detailed instructions in the user manual for each kit.
If your order contains more than one kit, please make sure that each individual collects his/her DNA sample using the collection kit they have registered or intend to register.
The sample collection process is simple and you can provide your DNA under various health circumstances, including while you are sick, while you are on common medication, or while you are pregnant.
- Is there a right time to do the saliva collection?
As long as you avoid eating, drinking, chewing gum, smoking, or using a mouthwash within the last 30 minutes, you can collect your saliva sample at any time. This is to prevent contamination that may cause inaccurate results.
- How long will the saliva samples be good after I collect them?
After the samples are collected, they will be good for at least 3 years with proper storage and handling at room temperature. We strongly recommend that you send your saliva samples to the laboratory immediately after collection.

FAILURE TO PROCESS SALIVA SAMPLE
- Why might the laboratory be unable to process my saliva sample?
This usually happens when the DNA cannot be extracted due to contamination or the amount of viable DNA is too small. These are just two of many other reasons.
- What should I do if my saliva sample cannot be processed?
We will contact you and arrange for you to pick up a replacement DNA Profiling test kit. Whatever caused the failure, you will not be required to pay any additional cost. However, some terms and conditions will still apply.
